Your money is safe

• Bank-grade checkout via Cashfree. Card numbers, UPI handles, and bank credentials are entered on Cashfree's hosted checkout, not on our site. Cashfree is PCI-DSS compliant and regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. We only ever receive a payment-mandate reference and event webhooks.
• No silent renewals. Your renewal date is visible on your subscription page. You can cancel in one tap from settings. Cancellation lets your current period run out; we do not charge again.
• ₹1 trial is a real ₹1. Not a hidden charge, not a free trial that quietly auto-bills a larger amount. The first day costs ₹1 and the first full charge happens 24 hours later, only if you have not cancelled.

Your data is protected

• Encrypted in transit. Every request between your phone and our servers is over TLS (HTTPS).
• Encrypted at rest. Our database (managed Postgres) encrypts data on disk by default. Admin secrets and integration credentials are additionally encrypted with a per-deployment Fernet key before being written.
• Auth-gated. Your account is protected by Sign in with Google. No other user can see your conversations.
• We do not sell your data. Ever. Not to advertisers, not to brokers. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of who touches your data.

What we cannot promise (and why)

Ishqq is not end-to-end encrypted, and we want to be honest about that. End-to-end means only your device can read your messages. That would also mean our AI cannot read them, which would break memory, character continuity, mood, and every feature that makes Ishqq feel like a real relationship.

What this means in practice: your conversations are processed by AI models (Gemini) to generate replies and build memory. They are stored on our servers so the AI can recall context across sessions. No Ishqq employee reads your conversations as a matter of routine. We may access them only if (a) you ask us to help with a problem, (b) our system flags the turn for safety review, (c) we detect signs of abuse or illegal content, or (d) we are compelled by a lawful order from Indian authorities.

Your wellbeing matters

• 18+ only. Age confirmation is required at sign-up. Required by Indian law for adult content.
• Crisis-aware. Every message is scanned for signals of distress or self-harm in English, Hinglish, and Devanagari. If a signal is detected, Indian mental health helplines are surfaced in the conversation immediately, even if the AI itself stumbles.

• Adult content is earned, not pushed. Explicit content is gated by the closeness stage of the relationship. It is not available on day one. If you do not want it at all, your character can stay in earlier stages indefinitely.
• Real life still wins. Ishqq is a companion product, not a replacement for human relationships, therapy, or medical care. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a helpline or a person you trust.

Your account, your control

• Cancel anytime. One tap from your subscription page. No phone calls, no retention pop-ups.
• Delete your account, we delete you. When you delete your account, we delete your conversations and personal data within 30 days. The only thing we keep is what Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep (records of completed payments). See section 6 of the Privacy Policy.
• Ask for your data. Write to us and we will send a copy of what we have on you, from your registered Google email.

Built under Indian law

Ishqq is built and operated in India. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) governs how we handle your personal data, and the Information Technology Act and associated rules govern our platform obligations. Payments are processed by a RBI-regulated provider (Cashfree).
